Vets Recover unveils $8.4 million inpatient detox and rehab center in Mobile

Vets Recover, a nonprofit providing mental health services to veterans, first responders and their families, opened a new, 34-bed inpatient center for substance abuse withdrawal and rehabilitation in midtown Mobile on Wednesday.

“This building here, yeah it’s a treatment center…Nobody’s going to get saved in this building,” John Kilpatrick, founder and CEO of Vets Recover, said Wednesday. “We’re going to stop the bleeding, we’re going to restore the breathing, we’re going to get them back to life, but they’re going to get well in this community. This community is where we’re going to heal.”
