Clinical Director

Veterans Recovery Resources (VRR) invites applications for Clinical Director. Candidates must possess, at a minimum, a master’s degree from an accredited university or college in psychology, social work, counseling, psychiatric nursing, or other behavioral health area with requisite course work equivalent to that of a degree in counseling, psychology, social work, psychiatric nursing. A doctoral degree is preferred. The Clinical Director has a minimum of five years post master’s relevant clinical experience; or is a physician who has completed an approved three-year residency in psychiatry. The Clinical Director will have full-time responsibility, in conjunction with the Executive Director, for the quality of clinical care and the appropriateness of clinical programs at Veterans Recovery Resources. The ideal candidate is a Veteran and/or has significant experience working with military-affiliated populations at the VHA, private hospital, university, private practice, or other organization. The compensation plan for this position is flexible and highly competitive.

Veterans Recovery Resources is a 501c3 non-profit Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), offering a continuum of clinically proven medical and behavioral services, peer support programming, and community integration activities to promote emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wellness for Veterans, First Responders, their families, caregivers, and survivors. Since the opening of an outpatient clinic in November 2018, our mission has been fulfilled via synergistic efforts of an inter-professional team of physical & behavioral health providers, peer support specialists, veteran peer ambassadors, community partners, and stakeholders (for details, see Looking ahead, Vets Recover will continue to expand its innovative approach to caring for Service Members, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

Veterans Recovery Resources is located in Mobile, Alabama, on the Gulf of Mexico. Roughly 500,000 persons reside within a 25-mile radius of downtown Mobile. Our region is ethnically diverse and features a moderate maritime climate, a modest cost of living, and ample recreational opportunities.
